Game:Cyberpunk 2077

Game:Cyberpunk 2077

The Gaming industry is huge and players have seen their share in successful games that made it globally and others that disappointed all the gamers but the game that takes the lead in my opinion is Cyberpunk 2077 that was first announced in may 2017 to be a multi-platform triple-A game, the developing company made so many promises including early release date and outstanding gameplay but that was not the case as COVID-19 struck the plan and they change to pivot their strategy and decided to give more time to the developers in hopes of providing a quality final result to all the players out there.

Unfortunately, they were not able to keep most of the promises as the release dates kept dragging longer than anticipated and as the game was close to its release there were many debates whether the game will meet the expectations that were so hyped since its announced date.

Despite all the controversy, the players kept high hopes and kept praying that after all this wait the game will be worth it in the end, and after the long wait the game was released and the whole world was talking about it, but the game was a complete disaster containing endless bugs and mechanics issues that ruined the gameplay for many players and took the fun away. Cyberpunk 2077 was then known as the “Jack of all Failures” having numerous wrong coding errors and massive lack of features that were essential for the game, the storyline was borderline boring and basic for a game that took more than 4 years of development, and the list goes on and on.

In conclusion, I feel that all the hype created before the game was just buying time to the inevitable (however you spell that word) fail of the company’s developers and their lack of work ethics towards enhancing the game or even putting the minimum effort to deploy a decent game for the industry. I believe all companies should take this experience as a learning path in humble beginnings and not to overexcite the overly picky and judging community in this massive industry and focus on providing quality work to be able to stand out and achieve between all their competitors.

Digital Artifact Pitch

The game that I have chosen to write about is an e-game (FIS World Cup Ski Racin), this game is available on Ios and Android devices.

Why have I chosen to write about this game, in particular, is because I was in the national team of Russia myself maybe 6 years back and we had lectures about our techniques, mistakes how we ski. Our instructors would always open up the game on the projector and would play it 2 times, and would ask everyone who is in the team, which game was wrong, after he would have received all the answers from his athletes the instructors would make everyone play and understand as well would have an individual meeting with everyone so that they would understand where and when and how to improve their mistake by playing the game. As well all atlases would know, what curve you would need to use when to hit the pole for slalom, many techniques that will help athletes improve their skiing performance on the ski slope, it also helps them to be on the ski slope virtually through an e-game. I believe it’s a very good idea to help athletes in any kind of sport understand their mistakes throughout playing the game virtually online, it makes them believe that they are in the game and that is how they improve their mistakes when they are playing they’re sport in real life.

to conlude the 3 frameworks which I am planning to use in my Digital Artifact Pitch are Playing Critically, Virtuality, and Affect Theory.

critical – self reflection

I have commented on three students in my BCM215 class, I have as well watched their pitch videos and as well I gave read their blogs. I have contributed by watching and reading and as well commenting giving feedback and thoughts of what I think about their pitches. I have been looking at the games from a different angle, how the game works, and what kind of age of people would play those kinds of games, and when. for example, game subway surfer I have played this game since I was a child, I have played it with my classmates and we would battle who would get a better score than each other on our lunch breaks, it is a very fun game to play with your friends this game Fatima has written about this game is because this game was the first game that she has ever played in 2012, this game has Archaeology, interactivity and nostalgia theories, Fatima has decided to focus more on Nostalgia throughout her DA.

I believe it was a very interesting game, personally up to today would love to play this game in my free time and would also love to play with someone, it’s very interesting to play with a group of friends.
I have shared my experience of the game, the feedback that I have given, I hope they can look into the feedback deeply, and if anything they can contact me back hopefully. the angel of the games has a lot of deep thoughts towards them, the structure of the game hoe it made, and as well if you go deep and think why did the reactor create it this way, it becomes very interesting, asking your self questions. gaming becomes a very addictive habit, you want to finish the level or beat your last score and it does not end, yes if the game ends when the player finds a similar game if he likes a similar game like that, and that is why it an addiction I believe.

overall the pitches I have given feedback are very interesting and I would love to play all three games in my free time. The games are very well constructed and the theories match the game that had been chosen on their DA pitches. but for the final, I think they should go more deeply into the theories and I feel they should open their own YouTube channel of how they are passionate about talking about it, I believe that it will be a good final piece, they Kist need to go further and do better every time.

Forgotten game BCM215

Pac-man

Everyone has been involved in at least one game through your childhood we can all agree, packman was a game that was released many years back to be more certain the date it was released and the year was May 22, 1980. This game was very interesting back then many people used to play it very often, Pac-man is a maze action game, it was a game that was often played on arcades machines this game is played how the player must eat all the dots that are labeled in the arcade machine, the player at the same time should avoid the colored ghost that is being chased after you, you have to eat all the dots without being eating by the color ghost, that is how you win, but if you get attacked by the color ghost you have lost the round. Pac-man is a very basic game it is a very old-fashioned game, the quality of the game is nothing compared to how the games are being created now, The quality and pixels have been improved over the years. Many kids have no idea of what pac-man is. , Pac-man has been copied by many game creators, because of how Pac-man was a very viral game.

Before people were being grateful for all the games that have been released because back then there weren’t that many games that have been released, compared to now, and we can agree on that, that is the difference now people don’t appreciate games compare to before, back then as well not everyone could afford to buy or play a game.

BCM215 Blog Post 4 – Friday Week 6.

BCM215 – Artifact Beta

I have been playing this game for more than a year now, since I have mentioned before how this game has helped me through skiing since I was in the national team ski-cross, it helped me understand my mistakes when I used to compete years back. I have played this game maybe a few days ago I wanted to see if there was any updates or changes since the last time I have played it, there was an enormous difference talking about the quality of the game that is first, second when I used to play it it wouldn’t have the function of going into the skiing glasses the view inside the glasses and now it has that option, and also it had updated the place where you play the game you can add now and choose the alp you want to race. E-game fis (world cup ski race) is a very beneficial game if you are into a sport that you are professional in, it helps you improve, e-games has many sports not only winter has many categories. This game is not about the sport you love and you can only play to understand in real life no, this game you can play with your peers as well it’s a very fun you can play head- to-head with your friends around the world as well, racing is very easy to learn it takes a single finger the players match through the game on their abilities across twelve divisions so that even person has a chance to win a medal in the game. All players can as well go up from local races competitions to world cup points legendary real-life world cup slopes. In the game it’s very exciting, all players will have exciting races that won’t get you bored, likewise downhill, super-G, as well giant slalom and normal slalom. There are always as well updates with new venues are being added, as well a player can even have a chance to be in a match with a real-world cup racer, but they must have enough points. Players can also create their own team and also join a team if they get accepted by the team manager, this game also uses top ski brands for example HEAD, Atomic, Rossignol, and many more, world cup ski racing game is a game that is also partner-shipped between sessional games and also FIS. For context, the 3 game theories I chose were virtuality , playing critically and effect theory. For context, the 3 game theories I chose were virtuality, playing critically, and affect theory. the audience that I am focusing on is an electronic sport, the audience is very interested in sports. I have used Twitter as my main platform to share my videos and to promote more viewers to my YouTube link

Engagement : to develop and engage more with my audience, I have as well created a survey for my viewers to deliver their ideas and opinions about my game. my survey I have posted on Twitter where all my peers from my class had taken part in my survey and as well my audience on Twitter had to a part of answering my survey. I have used google forms to structure my questions in which I have asked 8 questions, 5 multiple choice questions, and 3 comment boxes. I have settled to create a mix of question approaches to also collect qualitative and quantitative essential research for my study. This feedbacks where as well converted to graphs and pie charts and that had made it easier for me to analyze. https://forms.gle/iWyouPyLsGjhVZU69

users feedbacks : the first feedback that I have received on my DA pitch blog via WordPress. to conclude my total results, my first comment that I have received considering my game was that I have been speaking about the real-life sport than about then the e-game on digital platform and I have decided to make some changes to that and explain the game more in-depth, the second advice that I have as well received was I had to more clear about my digital artifact itself and I also had received to keep updated my schedule updates.

Personal statement : This game is a very intreating and beneficial game especially if you take this sport seriously, this game also if you never played this sport in real life it makes you think that you are in the game in real life, it makes you enter into the ski glasses of the person like your racing. It’s a very interesting game, I like how you can make teams and play with each other and as well against teams and you can also meet friends through the game you never know, I think that it’s exciting to meet new people through a game you like. This game makes you also choose the place, the alp you want to ski.

schedule update :

week 8: collecting some observation and as well understanding for the source and as well the research for my report.

week 9 : submit my report and complete my DA

E-game Fis (workd cup skiing game)

Blog 4 –  Raessen’s analytical framework

Mobile is a very easy device that you can access anytime and as well anywhere you want to. E-game Fis (world cup ski race) is a game that lets you be in the game and not think about anything or be stressed, this game is based in the alps, you feel how free you are as well you get to control the person and the sound effects when you slide with your ski’s and when the sound of the wind makes in the game and gives you the rush.

  • Interpretation :  Based on your culture and experience, the way you perceive particular things.
  • Reconfiguration: accomplishing key judgments concerning different paths , or as well make a different action in adventure playing the game.
  • Construction : is when you customize your game , as well you add your own aspects that it becomes more personal.
  • multimediality : is the capacity to combine multiple media mediums into a single code. Refers to the use of various forms of media to boost the user’s knowledge, such as the visual and the auditory components of an application. E-game Fis (world cup ski race) has a huge effect on the sound in the game, makes the game very interesting when the ski glide on the snow, makes you feel that you are in the game, and also video characters to put the pieces and to also develop a game ability, algorithm that works together to increase the client experience, motion graphics with as well vibrant colors and also eye-catching designs are used in the game’s animations to strongly engage the user attention.
  • virtuality in the building of a digital environment incorporates a sense of coding. E-game Fis (world cup ski race) employs a virtual world that is mixed with many audiovisual features it as well creates an enveloping experience for the user. Fit – work cup skiing game is a very large context setting, it is also a very interesting game that you can play in teams and not only, but there are also levels you can pass to get a medal and compete against a person depending on what level you are individual of course. FIS skiing game is very interesting and it’s not a very hard game to learn to play, but some small challenging parts are is by competing against teams or winning a medal so you can reach a better level individual.
  • Interactivity is the ability of the gadget/tool to react to and as well deliver a definition in return to the user behavior and involvement is investigated. This game revolves around the person that is skiing in my case, it all depends on how many points you have earned to up a level. Every time you win a race you go up a level.
  • Connectivity is an organization that uses multimedia to link a game contents to users. User can as well challenge peers and as well crew your own game that can invite who you want but the user that you invite need to approve of the request that you have done. If you do not want to make a team or challenge someone the game automatically puts you against a person automatically depending on what level you are and as well how many medals you have earned to be fair.

  1. the blog is well written, you introduced the game pretty well, however, I feel like there could be more information about the game itself rather than the sport, you explained the appeal of E-sports pretty well but the pitch could do with a timetable of your plans for the remaining weeks and methods of research such as what you had in mind while choosing the game? how would you conduct your research in regards to community and social media platforms? and …etc.
generally, it’s not very clear what you plan to do with the digital artifact which is an area you could improve in.
you’ve picked reasonable and good theories to research for the game, a good alternative would be ludology and game mechanics, overall you picked an interesting genre of games that aren’t really covered very well by the gaming community and deserve more attention, good luck with the Digital artifact.

in addition, I found links that summarize why sports games are important to us pretty well.

  2. After reading through your blog, I saw that it was over all well versed. But I think that you have focused too much on the actual Ski sport rather than the e-game. And you have talked about the dynamics of the sport. Have you decided on what platforms that you will use to conduct your research through?
I understand that skiing is a big part of your life so I know you will do well for the final Digital Artefact. Since you are going to be doing on a game that you take part in real life, I suggest that for the game theories that you could write about the phenomenology of the game.
I noticed that there weren’t any references mentioned for your blog, did you write this without prior research? I understand you’ve played the game in real life, but for an article regarding the game I suggest that you go through articles or other sites regarding the blog in order to understand the game better.
Here is a link https://www.insidethegames.biz/articles/1089076/international-ski-federation-video-game that you could refer to.

  4. Feedback from Fatima Omar:

You contributed to the game by sharing your personal experience linked to E-sports and specifically skiing. You mentioned the theories that you will be using, but you did not elaborate on them or explain why you will be using them. I don’t think you researched the game and used any articles. I would recommend using articles to strengthen your research. Also, I would suggest more research in general with your theories and E-games. From your DA pitch, I learned more about E-games and how they are used to train and educate athletes. I noticed that you did not include a weekly plan of how you are going to analyze the game and engage with the audience, so I would highly recommend you to make a plan and stick to it.
