assessment 1 : narrative reflection

My most recent experience responding to a disruption or shift in terms of corporate ethics seems to be the significant adjustment of not being able to finish my university bachelor’s degree in Dubai due to having a life in Russia, where I recently got married and am expecting my first child. Due to these sudden circumstances I was set in, Since I am taking all of my classes online and am unable to attend in-person classes, I appear to be having trouble finishing them. When I am in a classroom setting talking to the professor rather than doing it online, I consider myself to be a rapid learner who can deal with stress.

When I first joined Wollongong, I took a completely different course and didn’t find myself satisfied as it wasn’t something I truly wanted for myself, going into Media has allowed me to feel comfortable and I’ve been doing it ever since. I truly desire to finish my university career and would love to get it done as fast as I could in order to move on with my future in establishing a family for myself. Work ethics are something I uphold, and having these qualities is crucial because they help you become a good and motivated individual. This relates to me because I strive to make the most of challenging circumstances and persevere in order to get the greatest outcomes. I have a strong sense of self-motivation and integrity, and my surroundings have helped me reach good places and develop moral beliefs for myself. Because I set goals for myself and make it a point to finish work when necessary, I consider myself to be a moral adult. Accountability teaches people how to confront difficulties, make wise choices, and set and accomplish goals. Being responsible is crucial because this improves you as a person. Staying serious and committed to my assignments is a critical work ethic I have been practicing because it is important when it comes to finishing work. I want to do work to the best of my ability while still receiving a grade that will make me feel good of myself.

The distribution of change was unexpected as I initially wanted to finish studies before going on with life, I wouldn’t change it for the world as I could balance out my personal life and my education, it might be a struggle however it is something that can be managed as I have a great support system around me and can easily get work done due to the fact that I discipline myself when it comes to getting to my end goal of completing my courses. Nobody is mentally prepared for disruption of change, and since it has altered everything, I wasn’t mentally prepared either. The idea of finishing my university career and eventually entering the workforce by finding a job is what really motivated me to be ready for it. I am primarily working toward doing this for my future son since I want to spend as much time as possible with my infant. Since everything is still new, I would say that I will gain knowledge from this experience over the following years and will be proud of myself for being able to complete courses while they were located in a completely different country, this was hard as it’s not easy dealing with stress considering the fact that I am 7 months pregnant. To make the situation easier for me, I have been in touch with my professors and classmates since I wanted to understand the assignments more and what was happening in class, this has really allowed everything to go more smoothly since i havent been attending classes in Dubai  

In life we are never ready for sudden changes, however we are going to have to face it as life is uncertain regarding the fact that anything can happen, it’s something we will have to face and bear with as things can’t always go our way. Over the years, I’ve faced a variety of life’s challenges, but I’ve always managed to find a solution, and that’s one of the elements I appreciate about myself. Every obstacle I come across presents me a chance to learn important lessons that will help me achieve in the upcoming future. Everything in life happens for a reason and what truly matters is how you deal with it as we are capable of making the most out of it, being set in this difficult person has allowed me to appreciate everything as it is not easy for a pregnant person to undertake studies in a different environment, it has taught me to make the most out of hard situations. It might have been difficult, but it has allowed me to understand struggle on a deeper level.

Hi, my name is Sofia Shakhin, and you’re about to read a short story about my life. Let me tell you about my family. My father is from Palestine, Gaza, and my mother is from Russia, Lipetsk, so I am half Russian and half Palestinian. I was born in my father’s home country in 1998 during the war, and it was an adventure living around bullets and bombs that were constantly exploding. I have an older brother who was born in 1997 in the same location. Me and my family moved to the United Arab Emirates in 2007 due to my father’s work. His field is safety engineering, and he was invited to work in a company to support my family. My education started from a british school that was in Sharjah, the AIS Australian International School. It helped me become more of an English speaker since English was my third native language. It had a huge impact on me, especially with my language barrier. As well, school helped me arrive to class on time without being late. It also pushed me to communicate with classmates and how to talk to older people, especially how to respect teachers. It also advised me how to work hard on projects and get them done on the due date. It also made me gather new friends; it made me happy sharing my day with friends playing games with each other at the same age as me. It filled my emotions that I had. I was a professional skier for the national team of Russia. I would always travel. I was very independent. I would get all my work done ahead of time and be ahead of everyone in my class until the last year of school came along and the school principle did not approve of me traveling. He was very strict, and he mentioned you have a choice to continue school or leave. I was so disappointed. I have been skiing approximately all my life. I even was sponsored by the national team in Dubai, and I was racing as the name of my school. All my teachers were so grateful to me that I always got my work done and passed my tests. I had to let go of my hobbies, and that is when I lost my soul. Friends made me feel alive, and I appreciate everyone who was around in 2018. I graduated from Bradenton Prep Dubai in 2018. after graduating I understood who is really by my side it made me be strong and independent  and to value people as well during my bad days and good days I always would take videos pictures and make a small video every time and I made the decision of being in a production studio , I enrolled in the university of Wollongong in Dubai  under the major of global screen media production , studying at the university gave me the opportunity to share my success in life and have many  feedbacks from my peers that made me feel strong , I was always week of writing and with the university we have blog post every week it made me learn how to keep writing and improving every time on my mistakes with the help of my professors by my side, as well I learned a lot not only editing as well as graphic design , writing scripts , creating good ideas. As of now, I will be graduating in less than a year, and with the help of an internship, it will make me stronger.

a person who has helped me achieve my success, goals and as well advice me is “Ted Legety”

How has he helped me and given me advice? He is a fantastic influencer who got me started skiing since I have always loved to ski. When I first started skiing, I was extremely nervous to ski down the mountain. My hands were shaking, and my legs were trembling. “Ted Legety” said some words that advised be more powerful. “You’ve just got to get in the starting gate and throw down whatever you’ve got.” After watching videos and seeing his tweets every day, I became more positive. circumstances, what I would do I would start to listen to music, push aside all negative thoughts, and go forward without looking back , it helped me be where I am today.

Reflecting

My mother, who is an older version of me, is the only person I have ever used as a role model, so choosing her to interview was easy for me. However, because I had never done it before, it was strange for me to ask her questions and I kept repeating the questions I wanted to ask. When I told my mother I wanted to interview her, she initially asked if I should record the conversation on a computer When it comes to meeting new people or having her photo taken, she is extremely nervous and hesitant to expose her face. When I replied “no,” she said, “Well, then,” and I. As I am familiar with my mother’s behavior in various situations, in particular when it comes to my mother in particular, I knew she would inquire about revealing herself, my expectation was what I had anticipated..thinking is it was easy ? For me, the answer is definitely yes because I already knew the majority of the data I gathered from my interviews and I have known her since the day I was born. I am familiar with her acts, her goals, and most importantly, her outlook on life. Yet, it was also a lot of fun because we had meaningful conversations that we hadn’t really had in a while. I liked it, and I think my mother did too. Did you wonder why you were being forced to do this? because that was the assessment that we had to do. But, I was naturally puzzled as to why we had to select someone for a live interview.. How was it compared to how you thought it would be? As I was prepared for the interview before the questions were asked, I must admit that my expectations were the same. what was I expecting to learn ? I wanted to know how difficult it was to translate between Russian and English, so that’s what I was hoping to learn. the beginning. What shocked me was how my parents met in the “United Arab Emirates” when my mother went there to improve her English and my father got a work opportunity there. After a few years, when they had me and my brother, we ended up returning to live where they had first met. How can you use narrative reflection and storytelling in your future of work? During a presentation, you can utilize your storytelling abilities to persuade your boss to authorize a new project, create a company’s brand identity, or assist customers in envisioning the benefits of a product.
