Sound Analysis
The movie For my sound analysis, “The black stallion” was released on October 17, 1979, by Carroll Ballard, he had directed more than six featured films, Carroll Ballard was also nominated for the best documentary feature award. The movie takes advantage of the Beuty of voices within the narrative film as well to remind the audience of common themes and to convey emotions, meaning ambition voice, sound effect, music, and voices in this movie. I believe it’s a film of work poetry, and as well a very wide dialogue and adding to that in the film there’re many intreating moments. The movie communicates the story of the movie is A young child is traveling on a ship when he notices a wild stallion on board who fascinates him. However, when the ship sinks, he and the horse were stuck on a deserted island, After the child bonds with a wonderful horse after being shipwrecked with him off the coast of Africa in the 1940s, and after their rescue, trains him to race.
the scene started when Alec Ramsey (Kelly Reno), a young child, and his first encounter onboard a ship with a wild black Arabian stallion horse, and his befriending of the monster by secretly feeding it with sugar cubes through an open window. The boy and the horse shipwrecked on a lonely island and Alec’s rescue of the horse stuck in ropes, Alec’s with a terrifying face experience with a snake, when the black steed came to his rescue, moments of their impression of one another, followed with emotional bonding on the beach when Alec climbed and rode the horse.
In this scene how the audience’s voice was phenomenal how people are cheering and talking with each other are very interested in the boy racing, the kid was very inspiring for young children of his age, how the audience start to scream and shout when the horse gets up on the back two legs, the audience starts to overreact, panic and started to be scared for the child, they where all discussing between who’s sitting close to each other, or between each other. The ambition voice of the background of the microphone where the speaker presents the race, usually the speaker is located where he can see all the audience having all the crowd beneath him including the race so that the speaker can analyze the race and be ready to discuss and explain what Is happening, the melody is being played how the soldiers/musicians introduce the race with the horns how it played to introduce the race with a bright tone and the volume is slowly rising and the speed is being added with the movement of the race as well representing the sudden drastic growth of the sound, the viewers the crowd who is watching the horse race.
while the race is starting the boy’s horse started to act very strange the sound of the horse that is being created anger, the crowd panicking at this time another participant of the racehorse started to also jump creating noises frustration, the crowd is even louder creating a panic in the arena, the speaker is trying to explain the situation with a higher volume because everyone is shouting, yelling at the same time, the horses starting to tackle each other jumping with their back legs and attacking with the two from legs, the riders are holding as much as possible, the person who looks after the game helped them to put the horses back into the cages.
The audience starts to be quiet the sound effect of the horses breathing and the noise the horses are creating with their legs picking their leg up and putting back on the sand where the race is about to start, the race is about to Start, everyone is being very focused on the situation, the sound effect has rung that the race has begun the gates had unlocked made a small sound of it opening the gates, the horses started to run, the boy fell on the side of the horse keeping holding on the saddle while the horse is running, galloping at its full speed, the boy is screaming at the same time and as well as the horse making noises while it’s running, the audience had experienced the race with a shock of the boy almost falling.
In conclusion, the 8-minute clip that is a feast for the eyes with an amazing ending that gives you a nervous breakdown I would say it’s like two movies combines as one The first film is about a shipwrecked boy and his horse on an island, and how they learn to survive by assisting one another. The second film tells the story of Alex, who, with the help of Mickey Rooney, saves the horse and gives it a purpose in the world. it made me want to watch the movie itself, doesn’t have any effects added and it suits it perfectly I learned a lot from this movie about how sound effect is added to the background music the voices of people talking and as well ambiance voice, this movie is very needed to watch for kids its very motivational for young kids especially.
